Michael Forney

Michael drives the development of the cohort based training programs for Gravitational Leadership. His most recent book, Gravity:Seven Essential Truths About Influence, Leadership and Your Soul,which he coauthored with Ron Kuest,was released in May of 2016. Michael serves on the executive and teaching team of Creekside Church, a growing multi-site church in the Seattle area.

Michael’s pastoral experience as a lead pastor of a turnaround church and as an executive pastor has given unique insight and. He brings experience serving in churches of under 50 to over 2500 in average weekly attendance in rural, urban, and suburban settings. Michael brings experience and an insightful perspective to pastors and churches that moves them forward towards health, mission and growth. He also spent time in the corporate world leading a startup software company that created a marketing platform for the publishing industry. Michael leverages his extensive background as a pastor, entrepreneur, executive, and leadership coach to bring strategic and innovative perspectives to pastors, helping them to identify growth opportunities, create healthy culture, develop good systems, solve complex problems, and apply winning strategies to their unique context. He provides a new perspective and activates confidence in pastors who are leading churches at various stages on the organizational life-cycle helping them to create new growth. Michael is regularly called upon to advise church leaders to evaluate trends, ministry models, church systems, financial strategies, and organizational health. He is ordained with the Northwest Ministry Network; a certified coach with the Turnaround Church Coaching Network; and a certified Spiritual Leadership Traits Assessment Coach.
