Michael Gimbel

Michael Gimbel is currently the Director of Regional Security Services for Stanford Medicine - HealthCare. In this role, Michael oversees all security matters involving healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, specialty and cancer centers) and personnel across the SF Bay area and around the state of California. Michael also oversees the relationship and security matters for Stanford Medicine Partners (SMP) and the Stanford HealthCare Ambulatory Service Lines.

Prior to his current position at Stanford Healthcare, Michael was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 25 years. During that time, Michael worked criminal, organized crime, drug trafficking, counterterrorism, and private sector engagement matters, and was the InfraGard Coordinator and Private Sector Coordinator for FBI San Francisco. Michael was also an Advanced FBI Instructor and an Adjunct Faculty member who instructed on a variety of topics, including Civilian Active Shooter Awareness, International & Domestic Terrorism, Interview & Interrogation, both nationally and internationally, as well as at the FBI Academy.

Before the FBI, Michael was a Criminal Investigator with the State of Florida for 8 years.
