Michael Grubb

Michael Grubb is Creative Director of Michael Grubb Studio and the 2012 Lighting Designer of the Year.

Michael entered lighting design in 1998 and subsequently became a director of Sutton Vane Associates, helping them win numerous projects and awards all over the world.

In 2011 the Olympic Delivery Authority appointed Michael as its Learning Legacy Ambassador for Lighting. Michael is an active member of the Professional Lighting Design Association and a guest lecturer at the Arts University College of Bournemouth.

Over the last 15 years Michael’s projects have been features on BBC TV and Channel 4 as well as in the national and specialist press. He has won accolades including the National Lighting Design Award, Lux Award, RIBA White Rose and Landscape Institute Award.
