Michael Hamilton

Auburn Hills, MI

I am 35 and currently self-employed at HamiltonITSllc.com.

I started doing support work when I was very young. I used to hook up TV and dual VHS systems before I was even out of the 3rd grade for my dad. He taught me how to do it and somehow forgot himself that very same day. However, my mother was my first customer. Being a high school teacher she had hundreds of pages to print off using our old HP dot-matrix printer. (You know, the noisy one.) Between, paper jams and late night emergency support calls, I learn my most important skill. Which is patience.

Through the grade-school and on into high school I began to teach myself how to use a computer and how to repair it before my mother realized I had broken it. My mom keeps reminding me of those fun years; however, I am on her speed-dial for free remote support.

I have been a "techy" all my life, it seems. Yet, I do not speak "techyaeze." I believe this is why I do so well with my customers. I love teaching. I have taught everything from American Red Cross LifeGuard, CPR/First Aid, and swimming. I take this love for educating into each of my computer support sessions.

I have an Associate Degree in Computer Network Administration from Mott Community College.

My main rule of thumb is, "No one knows everything about anything, and those who say they do are lying."
