Michael Hercz, Esq. is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Sentynl Therapeutics, Inc. He is an accomplished attorney with a focus toward compliance, risk management, and management consulting as well as corporate communications. He has more than 18 years of experience to bring Sentynl.

Michael Hercz began his career by earning a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the University of Southern California. He then went on to practicing at the global firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld LLP, as well as Hopper, Lundy & Brookman Inc. where he was counsel to Life Science industry clients on issues from white collar criminal investigation to regulations before moving to the pharmaceutical industry. He worked for nearly eight years with Amgen Inc. in compliance and risk management and grew consistently to more senior roles within that time.

With specialties of General Counsel, Life Science Law and Regulation, Food & Drug Law (FDA), Legal Risk, Compliance Programs, Compliance Risks, Corporate Compliance, Criminal and Civil Litigation, Management Consulting, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit Functions, he has been an asset at many companies prior to Sentynl Therapeutics, Inc.

After Amgen Inc., Michael Hercz was Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Victory Pharmaceuticals as a valued member of the executive team, as well as overseeing the corporate compliance program for the company. Next, he served as a Director with Deloitte & Touche’s Enterprise Risk Services Group, advising Fortune 500 Life Sciences management teams on the leading industry practices.

To Sentynl, Michael Hercz brings significant experience leading high-performing teams and establishing major functions in both corporate and law firm environments. Since joiningSentynl Therapeutics, Inc. in October of 2015, he has helped acquire and launch a new product for Sentynl, Abstral®
