Michael H Kane MD

At present, Michael H. Kane, MD, maintains a private practice dedicated to urology in Reisterstown and Westminster, Maryland. He recently has expanded his practice to Hanover, Pennsylvania with an office in Hanover and privileges at Hanover Hospital. At his offices, Dr. Kane offers a number of services for patients, including minimally invasive options for the treatment of kidney stones and incontinence, as well as cytoscopy, and no-scalpel vasectomy. Michael H. Kane, MD, earned distinction as one of the first specialists in the Greater Baltimore area to address prostate cancer through the use of prostate brachytherapy.

Before embarking on his career as a urologist, Michael H. Kane, MD, gained a solid academic foundation. He began his higher education at Cornell University, where he garnered recognition as a Cornell University College Scholar before graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts. He stayed on at the institution for his medical degree, which he received in 1989. Next, he fulfilled his general surgery internship and residency requirements at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, followed by an additional four years of training in his chosen field. While completing his urology residency, Michael H. Kane, MD, secured several honors, including Second Prize in Laboratory Investigation in the New York Academy of Medicine's Ferdinand C. Valentine Resident Essay Contest. He also won First Prize from the CaP CURE Foundation.

Since finishing his formal schooling, Michael H. Kane, MD, has upheld a commitment to staying at the forefront of his field by holding membership in professional groups such as the American Urological Association. He additionally belongs to Med-Chi and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. Dr. Kane was founder and President of Reisterstown Ambulatory Surgical Center, which he established in 2000.
