Michael Hollifield

Throughout his career, Dr. Michael Hollifield has demonstrated both professional skill and interpersonal compassion. Board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialties, he currently serves as a senior partner and attending physician with Gainesville Emergency Department Services in Georgia. Dr. Michael Hollifield also shares his expertise as an annually invited oral examiner for national board examinations in emergency medicine, a title that recognizes both his knowledge of his field and his dedication to the medical profession.

Dr. Michael Hollifield received his doctor of medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, where he matriculated following receipt of his undergraduate degree in chemistry and biology. He completed his internship at the University of Maryland Hospital and Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Baltimore, then returned to the southeastern United States as a resident at East Carolina University Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He continues to advance his skills and knowledge as a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. In his free time, Dr. Hollifield enjoys such varied hobbies as skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding, and restoring antique cars.
