I’m a professional fiction editor and publishing consultant based in the North West of England. I have a unique blend of experience in publishing and the retail book trade.

Currently I'm working as Fiction Editor and Creative for Tomorrowland, the award-winning Music Festival Company.

Prior to that I worked both as Senior Commissioning Editor for Fiction and Nonfiction at Rebellion Publishing and Editorial Director at Del Rey for Penguin Random House UK.

While in these roles, I acquired books by and worked with Andy Weir, author of the Sunday Times bestselling The Martian, Katherine Arden, author of The Bear and The Nightingale, Mary Robinette Kowal, Rebecca Roanhorse, Mike Brooks, Edward Ashton, Django Wexler, Kameron Hurley, E.J. Swift, Adrian Walker, Dave Hutchinson and more.

Before publishing, I worked for Waterstones booksellers for 15 years, first as a Bookseller and Department Manager at the wonderful Manchester Deansgate branch, then as a Head Office Fiction Buyer, holding various positions, including Fiction Core Range Buyer, Science Fiction, Manga and Graphic Novels Buyer and Genre Fiction Campaign Buyer. In particular, I specialised in genre fiction across SF & Fantasy, Crime Fiction, Romance, Westerns, Graphic Novels and Manga.
