Raised in the Midwest, I left the corn belt to spend four years in southern California where I broadened my horizons and obtained my undergraduate degree. Law school brought me back to the Chicago area, however, where I met my wife, settled down, and have since raised my family.

I approach life with eyes and ears wide open, taking in everything before me and analyzing information without prejudice and from a variety of perspectives. Patient (perhaps to a fault), I make decisions based upon reason. I don't discount emotion--it plays a role in all we do--but recognize its place in the order of things.

I'm adventurous by nature and thrive in an energetic environment. As an athlete, I enjoy the outdoors and the many activities it provides. A good sweat is as good an elixir as any for the many stresses we face in today's world.

My wife and kids, however, are my world. They come first. No exceptions.
