Injured in 2008 by a mortar attack on theborders of Afghanistan and Pakistan. SSG Kacer ret. Suffered severe injuries to include skull and facialfractures, severed intestine, collapsed lungs, and left arm amputated w/ 6-8”of residual limb. Since injury, Michaelhas done several speaking engagements on Suicide Prevention, Mental Health, Surviving PTSD/Survivors Guilt, and life experiences to schools. However falling short for the 2016 Paralympics in Track and Swimming, he’sdecided to start college to become a Phys Ed Teacher to help mold the nextgeneration. Through countless OCR’s, marathonsand half marathons, being fit, active, and maintaining body is more than ahobby it’s a way of the life, and loves sharing his story through modeling and speaking.
