Michael Kern is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, former Osteopath and a Naturopath. Kern’s contribution to Craniosacral Therapy has been significant since he began practicing in 1987. He has extensively taught the subject around the world, including countries such as the UK, Russia, USA, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Poland and Germany.
Kern studied at the College of Osteopaths, London, graduating with honours in 1988 and receiving diplomas in Naturopathy and Osteopathy. Furthermore, Kern achieved his B.C.S.T. Diploma and A.B.D. Advanced Biodynamic Diploma under the auspices of the International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings and a diploma in Craniosacral Therapy from the Karuna Institute.
Michael Kern was once a registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council. He is also the author of the book ‘Wisdom in the Body – The Craniosacral Approach to Essential Health’, which has been translated into 10 languages. Kern has had more than 30 articles published in various professional journals in the UK, USA, Spain, Italy and Russia.
Kern co-founded the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London - where he is also course director - and under his guidance, the Trust offers Practitioner Trainings and advanced seminars in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, as well as courses that introduce the subject to beginners.
Beyond his numerous professional interests, Michael Kern is founder of the Drukpa Trust, a registered UK charity that works in Himalayan countries to provide educational opportunities and humanitarian help. H.H. the Dalai Lama is a patron of the trust, along with several other notable figures including Richard Gere and Joanna Lumley.
