Kleven is active in the production community as a freelance sound mixer and cinematographer in corporate, narrative and documentary. He is an avid photographer, specializing in professional portrait and event work. He helps run a small production company, Heartstone Studios, with his business partner Elke Hautala.

An NW native, Kleven enjoys chronicling the many vistas both at home and on the road. He is inspired by artistic collaboration, storytelling, and the ever changing creative challenges encountered working in media.
