Michael Knott

I am a Botswana based civil engineer with experience in supervision and management of civil (concrete, earthworks, sewage treatment) and building (housing, industrial) projects for various clients in the private and public sector. I have considerable experience in working in mining environments: Mupane Gold Mine, Tati Nickel Phoenix Mine and Boseto Copper Project. I was born and brought up in Wiltshire, studied civil engineering at the University of Bradford and emigrated to Botswana. Looking after the family, home improvements and other fettling keep me occupied when not working as well as a keen interest in the built and natural environment, especially examples of good engineering and industrial heritage. Riding my mountain bike, running and indoor rowing keep me healthy. Other interests include mapping/geography, computing, internet, humour, reading.
