Mike K Kroesen
Filmmaker, Director, and Project Manager in Seattle, Washington
I was a broadcast producer and AVID video editor for the Seattle location of a bi-coastal advertising agency Think New Ideas. Our office had over 58 million in capitalized billings.
Next, I was the Executive Producer for HTC’s agency of record Worktank. In addition to HTC, Worktank led strategic partnerships with clients such as Safeco, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Pantech, and Microsoft Studios.
Lastly, I held leadership positions with production studios. The roles included staff as well as contractor positions. I supervised the broadcast and marketing video portions of multi-million dollar integrated advertising campaigns made up of cross-functional project teams and vendors.
I'm comfortable leading the team or being a trusted ingredient that makes up the secret sauce. I strive to create work that people will dig, alongside folks that I enjoy.
I would like to join a team on a full time basis. To be part of something.
Highlights
I managed the broadcast and mobile video premiere of the HTC Fuze smartphone to the USA market. The national TV and web video pre-roll ads drove traffic into AT&T retail stores and to the online campaign. There were 800,000 entries to the HOWiFUZE.com microsite sweepstakes. The broadcast budget was $750,000 in support of a $12,000,000 media buy.
I developed a capital expenses budget to invest in new gear/technology that offered the agency a competitive edge. Previously Think New Ideas booked vendors to supply equipment and expertise that I believed we could build and support ourselves. This effort transformed previously pass-through revenue into actual billable services. This improved productivity, quality, workflow, efficiency, and allowed us to push boundaries. The highlight of this effort was winning three client pitches (UW Medicine, Agilent, and Humane Society) worth multi-millions in billings.
