A recent graduate of Midway High School in Waco, Texas, and the owner of MAK Lawn Service, Michael Kunka split his time between academic responsibilities, time as a student athlete, and work in varying capacities. While at school, he was involved with the water polo, golf, football, and swim teams at the varsity and junior varsity levels. Michael “Mike” Kunka was also vice president of 121 Water Company and active with his school as a member of the student council and Spanish club.

At the same time as his academic and extracurricular activities, Mr. Kunka developed hands-on experience in such positions as lifeguard for the Ridgewood Country Club, food server for Bush’s Chicken, and employee at Panther Kids after-school care at Midway ISD. Through these roles, he gained experience in everything from teaching lessons to working directly with customers and organizing activities. Meanwhile, at MAK Lawn Service, he has been involved in providing commercial businesses with comprehensive lawn mowing services.

In his free time, Mr. Kunka is an avid outdoorsman. He loves snow skiing and will regularly participate in extreme skiing trips where he jumps off cliffs. He also enjoys surfing on lakes, fly fishing and hiking in the mountains, and hunting. A well-traveled individual, he learns about politics around the world and is active in the investing community.
