Michaël Mathy

I was born in Namur, Belgium. I am a self taught musician who plays piano and computer music.

I began to play at 9 on various instruments ranging from piano, accordion, flute to classical guitar. Music composition has always been a big part of my life. I played electrical guitar in a local group for 5 years and as life goes on and musical interests changed, I began to focus on solo work.

At 30, it was becoming clear that keyboards, piano and computers were what I really enjoyed to play and I wrote for the next 10 years solo piano work and electronic music.

In 2012, I created a SoundCloud account and uploaded a few tracks to see if other people might also enjoy my work. In about 10 months, the feedback from the SoundCloud users was really overwhelming and I decided to record 6 of my very person songs for my first album “Birth, Life and Death” in 2013.

For 2014, I plans to release my second album with all the songs I have accumulated and also will compose new song that correspond more to what I am now.

Even if I am 42 year old now, it is just the beginning.
