Michael M McDonald

Born in the North end, grew up on the South side. Spent many years on festival, theatre and music stages, in Saint John, Vancouver and England.

Ten years as a grip, on NB, Quebec film co productions, making a bunch of films. Won a couple awards one time, writing, producing and directing my own films. Hunting Lessons (2005) and Magnifier 2008. Both films acquired by CBC.

A guitar in one hand and a camera in the other, I can tell you a tale or two.

I spent 3 years in England working at various concert halls and theatres as a lighting tech and stage hand .upon returning to Canada, I immersed my self in the art of filMs and worked from third grip all the way to Key Grip on many feature films, movies of the week and commercials. I'm still creative in writing and directing. My current job as a member of the Saint John Emergency Room staff has been my go to gig for 5 years
