A former Olympic hopeful, Michael Nackoul spent five years training to qualify for weightlifting at the 2016 Rio Olympics, during which time he worked out at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Among other weightlifting accomplishments, Michael Nackoul was a University National Champion in 2013 and finished ninth at the World University Games that year. He's also a two-time 17-and-under National Champion.

While competing at the university level, Michael Nackoul studied mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He graduated in 2013 and has since focused his efforts on developing an application to help athletes receive real-time workout data and analysis. He co-founded Axera in 2015 as a personalized training program application, and later co-founded Morpheus Labs to develop an operational fitness platform. He has also published training content on websites such as BarBend and 8 Weeks Out.

The subject of a feature profile for the American Society for Mechanical Engineers, Mr. Nackoul recently received the Joseph and Martha Lang Scholarship to complete a dual-degree program at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is working toward both a master of science in mechanical engineering and a master of business administration.
