Michael Okoro

Michael Okoro believes in the efficacy of success as a recipe for positive change. With a background in Geography, Michael bagged a Masters degree in Disaster Risk Management from the the University of Ibadan, focusing on Disaster Risk Reduction and Development issues, where He came to understand the intrinsic relationship between development decisions and disaster risk.

An environmental enthusiast, He is passionate about the use of innovative knowledge and education to ensure sustainable community development and youth empowerment. An advocate for youth inclusion in decision making, his interest borders on subjects such as indigenous knowledge and Climate Change Adaptation, Business Continuity Planning, Business Communication Management and Occupational health and safety.

A researcher and entrepreneur, Michael currently works in Edward Sampson's & Company, an Urban development and disaster management firm as its Project and Business development Officer. He also doubles as a research assistant in Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (Nigeria's premier policy think tank) .

He presently lives in Ibadan Nigeria.
