Academic Advisor in Lawrence, Kansas
Hi! I’m Michael and I work as an Academic Advisor at the University of Kansas. I'm happy to chat with you about any of my educational or professional experiences, or more importantly, talk about YOUR interests!
Before coming to KU, I lived in Denver, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Atlanta, which is where I grew up.
I studied music as an undergraduate, but also enjoyed taking courses in sociology, political science, American studies, and doing a summer abroad program at Oxford. I thought I wanted to go to law school (and briefly did), but it turned out graduate work in public policy was a better fit for me.
My previous work in policy analysis focused on strengthening systems that serve vulnerable populations, including jobs with the U.S. Government Accountability Office, Colorado Department of Human Services, and Kansas Appleseed Center for Law and Justice.
Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or schedule an appointment to see me in Summerfield Hall, room 315.
