Michael Paula
Michael is a Coach and Consultant and a programme team member of nowhere’s 8 Questions Leadership Practice.
With a degree in Industrial Engineering Michael started to work at the University of Technology in Vienna (Austria) as an assistant professor in the field of leadership and organization theory. In 1989 he joined Austrian Industries, working in the department for strategic development. From 1992 to 2000 he worked for Siemens in Austria and Germany as a product manager for rail transportation systems, responsible for national and international projects.
Being trained in individual and group coaching Michael became self-employed in 2001. Since then he runs his own consultancy, working internationally with companies and organisations, focusing his work on leadership trainings and team development. He has qualifications in project management, constellations, Appreciative Inquiry and is a certified FranklinCovey-Trainer.
Always being fascinated by ancient wisdom traditions and practices, Michael joined a training in the Native American Earth Wisdom offered by the Ehama Institute many years ago. Very much influenced by this training, he started to incorporate the tools and practices of this tradition into his work. In early 2009 he began to work with nowhere as a programme team member for developing the 8 Questions Leadership Practice to release the creative potential of individuals and organizations.
His hobbies include sport (running, hiking, skiing), reading, making music (alone and with his old rock band), gardening, Earth Wisdom and meditation, good food and wine.
Michael lives near Vienna, Austria, with his wife Susi and their daughter Lisa.
