Michael Pett
Hamilton, Ontario
Michael Pett was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent most of his childhood gallivanting around Europe where his parents worked for an international NGO.
After ten years abroad, Michael returned to Canada and completed a degree in economics at McMaster University where he began writing and producing plays as a way to appease his overly active right brain.
Michael worked as a project manager in the non-profit sector for five years while he further honed his skills as a storyteller. In 2012, Michael turned his talents to producing film and founded Colourblind Productions.
His journey into the medium has been swift and seamless, and Michael has quickly established himself as a natural filmmaker with a string of edgy music videos. Michael’s recent commercial The Ambitious City received the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Award, and his first short film The Chase is set to premiere later this year.
A self-proclaimed social media junkie, Michael spends most of his free time reading Mashable at local coffee shops, chatting with #HamOnt enthusiasts on Twitter, and taking surprisingly mediocre photographs with Instagram.
