I am a second year Creative Industries student at Ryerson University specializing in storytelling in media and media business. My professional experience includes retail, over five years of customer service, blogging and collaboration on creative projects in visual storytelling. I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Moreover, I am Hootsuite certified and active on social media.

As a vegetarian, I am very passionate about the ethical treatment of animals and the environment. I am also an advocate for social justice and diverse representation in the media. My other interests include reality competition shows, drag and film. I aspire to ideally work in television production and on creative projects that promote my values, accurately and adequately represent diverse groups of people in society and help to empower oppressed or minority groups. Reality television and fictional televisual stories based on real experiences have the power to showcase people in the media that have not had their voices heard or bring awareness to issues that need greater societal awareness. My career trajectory is towards writing, producing and editing visual media because I believe that it is an entertaining and engaging medium that effectively attracts the attention of society. It can be used to influence public opinion and create positive change in the world.
