Michael McGuire

Michael McGuire studies journalism, Spanish and creative writing at Washington & Lee University. His journalistic work, essays and commentary have been published in The Baltimore Sun, Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Miami Herald and its Spanish-language sister, El Nuevo Herald. He also written a column for Editor & Publisher magazine. He is the 2011 recipient of the Landon B. Lane Memorial Scholarship in Journalism and the Todd Smith Fellowship, funding an internship for a bilingual reporter interested in covering Latin America. He is also a 2012 winner of a George A. Mahan Award for Creative Writing.
