Michael Shinn

Michael Shinn is a San Francisco-based investigative consultant for his firm, Ordina Consulting, LLC. Michael helps clients with international branding protection, investigative data analysis, continuity of operations planning, technical operations, and financial investigations through his work. He can do all of this thanks to his robust network of contacts across several different industries.

Michael is an experienced security professional, having thirty years of prior work experience under his belt. He initially started as a U.S. Customs Service Agent for the U.S. Department of Treasury, then became a police officer for the Oakland Police Department in California. After eight years as a police officer, Michael worked as the Director of Customer Relations for VenueSoft, LLC; his work as director gave him a network of high-profile clients such as the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.

From 2009 until 2020, Michael Shinn worked first as a Special Agent, then as a Supervisory Special Agent for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He became very accomplished during his time in this position, supervising several financial investigations. He also formed a Cyber-Financial Crimes Task Force with the U.S. Secret Service, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California, and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.
