Michael Turner is a manager in the Information Systems Division for the Walmart Corporate Office and he is a proud native of Pine Bluff, AR. He earned his Associates of Applied Science Degree in Business from Northwest Arkansas Community College (Magna cum Laude), in Bentonville, AR. He continued his education studies with American Public University where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Management (GPA 3.6) and he ascertained his Master Facility Executive credentials from BOMI International.
Michael has extensive Facilities, Facilities Management, Physical Plant, Property Management, Data Center, Real Estate, IT, HVAC, Electrical, Strategic Planning experience, etc. His career spans over 25 years. He consistently integrated lessons learned to the broad knowledge he has achieved over the years. His strategic prowess has most recently been engaged in pioneering power and cooling upgrades, data center consolidation, disaster recovery and business continuity for the world largest retailer.
Michael started his career at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He moved to Eastern Arkansas in March 1996 where he was recruited by the Federal Government. He was very instrumental in coining and theorizing multiple strategies for the architectural program. He chaired the work programming committee to develop the master planning for the framework to ensure flawless executions of projects.
As the year 2005 came to a close, the New Year brought about change. Michael executed his long thought-out plan to leave Eastern Arkansas after having a successful 10-year career in Federal Law Enforcement. Michael had his sights set on Corporate America. Therefore, Michael submitted his resignation to the Federal Government after Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. recruited him. Michael relocated to Bentonville, AR, which lies in the heart of the beautiful Ozarks.
