Michalis Antoniou

Michalis Antoniou was born in Nicosia - Cyprus on September 4th, 1977.
From his childhood age, he started taking lessons in Music Theory, Piano and harmony.
In 1994 made his first appearance as a composer in a Song Festival held in Larnaca - Cyprus.
In the year 1998 took part at Cypriot Song Competition and his composition ACH TZIE MYRIZI ANIXI won the 3rd prize. A year later his song was candidate to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Once again in 2000 his song competed to the preselection procedure for the Eurovision Song Contest for Cyprus.

In 2002 represented Cyprus at the 18th International Song Competition held in Praque and won the GRAND PRIX of the Contest and the Prestigious title “BEST COMPOSER OF THE YEAR 2002” .

In 2004 Michalis dream came true. His song WHATS HAPPENED TO YOUR LOVE choosen to represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. Some months later in Astana Song Festival in Kazakhstan won the prize for the best arrangement and performance.

Also in 2004 Michalis was invited to be a candidate for the European Parliament.
In 2005 start collaborates with the Maltese Star Debbie Scerri and the result of their collaboration was the CD Single “PERFECT TIMING”, that brought both of them a lot of success.

In 2006 represented Cyprus in a Radio Song Competition in Yokohama - Japan and won the 1st Prize with a song, written in Cypriot dialect.
Michalis took part in various song Festivals around the world winning lots of prizes and titles.

In 2011, Michalis, once again competed in Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf representing his country - Cyprus with his song SAN ANGELOS S’AGAPISA (I loved you like an angel)

End of June 2013 his first International Album PASSPORT TO THE WORLD was release. The project consist of 21 singers representing 21 respectively country's. Songs were performed in Countries they represent National Languages.
