I am an award winning advisor and practitioner working internationally in social and community enterprise, creative economies, civic engagement, conflict resolution and leadership. As a practitioner I suppose I am most closely associated with the transformation of Shoreditch London into a global centre for tech and creative industries. I delivered projects valued at over €236m across 20 years, brokering and managing complex relationships to ensure real and sustainable change. Effectively most of what you read here boils down to... I am good at persuading and getting things done....

I mentor, facilitate, advise and resolve conflict working with governments and communities. Over my career I have come to specialise in developing, listening and working alongside young people who are hoping to take leadership roles in their communities. These are often countries where civil society is challenged by a deficit in democratic practice in both governance and social development. I enable the exploration of ways of developing confidence and looking at how traditional constructs of government at all levels might be positively impacted by the contribution of communities through an agenda of change, diversity and equality based on mutual respect.

As a creative and social entrepreneur I have developed and run social enterprise ventures and won awards for my work. I work nationally and internationally and my projects have also featured extensively in media, including the BBC, European press, New York Times and Japanese Elle.
