Dr. Michel Georges El-Chammas is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences, and a researcher at the Center for Digital Humanities at the University of Balamand. He is also a sworn IT expert before the Lebanese courts and a consultant for companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Science in Networking and Telecommunications, and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from the University of Balamand, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Franche-Comté in France.
In addition to his academic activities in the fields of digital humanities, digital cultural heritage, and artificial intelligence, Michel is an ambassador for the International Organization for Combating Cybercrime and the Youth Association for Internet Governance in Lebanon and the Arab world. He is also a former member of the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group for the Internet Governance Forum in Lebanon.
