I'm a freelance writer based in San Diego. My work has appeared in several publications, including magazines, online news outlets and community and international papers. I am currently writing for the North Coast Current, a local publication based in Encinitas. I have covered topics ranging from breaking news to sports to feature stories on local personalities and events. My in-depth work as an investigative assistant has honed my research skills, resulting in well-rounded and factual work on any given topic that is both informative and entertaining for readers. I have also served as a copy editor, which has resulted in a sharp eye for detail and spelling, grammar and punctuation accuracy.

In addition to my professional work, I am in the process of completing my degree in journalism at National University and have recently assumed the editor position for their online student-run newspaper, The Herald (www.thenuherald.com).

When I am not writing, editing or studying, I am running after my two-year-old and five-month-old and trying to bottle their endless energy to share with my husband.

Coffee is my spirit animal.
