I’m an On-Camera Presenter for The Weather Network. I report national and regional weather forecasts in conjunction with The Weather Network’s team of meteorologists. I love everything about weather – it’s one of the only things we humans have no control over and there’s something so powerful and exciting about that! Plus, weather is a topic of conversation that all Canadians can talk about, it’s a uniting force!
My journalistic background includes a variety of fields. I began my career as a producer and talk show host on Trent Radio. Editorial writing was my next venture, working for several newspapers at Trent University. In 2012, I moved to Australia to study journalism and during this period I interned at Nine Gold Coast News where I had the opportunity to report, script write, edit packages and shadow well-known journalists, learning from the best in the business. After graduation, I was hired as a journalist and social media manger for Ocean Road Magazine. I was responsible for writing editorial and advertorial articles, presenting on Ocean Road TV and oversight of all social media.
Vocationally, I have a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Griffith University. This is complimented by a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Media Studies and English Literature from Trent University.
Fun facts about me: I bungee jumped off one of the world’s highest jumps in Queenstown NewZealand, I ran a half marathon at 21, and in my spare time I love anything and everything fitness related!
