I am a teacher-librarian and an Educational Technology & Design graduate. I’ve enjoyed my work as an educator in a number of settings: as a Director of Educational Technology & Learning Design within an independent school system, as a classroom teacher and as a teacher-librarian in both high school and elementary school libraries.

As a teacher-librarian I am passionate about the transition of the school library to a learning commons as a “library plus” model for schools. The learning commons model emphasizes the range of services that our learners require and engages them with “learning how to learn”. It is the exploration of what our school libraries could be and should be in their role of supporting learners that excites and engages me!

I am also a playwright. I write plays for amateur theatre and other works. As a member of CWILL, BC (Children’s Writers and Illustrators of BC), I join a dynamic group of authors and illustrators who are passionate about creating literary works for young people.
