Welcome to my page!

I am a healthcare researcher, health equity advocate, and PhD student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

My work focuses on the intersection of health and technology in improving marginalized populations’ access to quality and increasing use of preventive health services.

Listed below are some of my experiences/fellowships that highlight my interest in health promotion, diversity, health disparities, and in assisting vulnerable populations.

※ Student Consultant with Durham University, for my vocational dissertation, wrote a comprehensive report detailing how UK universities are handling mental health student welfare and provided recommendations on action items for the university.

※ Active Alabama, promoted increase in exercise levels at the collegiate level at the local university by creating an exercise program with trainers and incentivizing student participation.

※ ATLAS: Alabama Teens Learn about Substance (Use), created life-skills training program to combat the root causes of addiction (trauma, addiction, anxiety) for middle school students in Walker County, AL.

※ Gulf States Health Policy Center, Community Research Fellow trained in community-based participatory research (CBPR)

※ Alabama AHEC Fellow, trained to improve quality, diversity, and distribution of AL's healthcare workforce.

※ Albert Schweitzer Fellow
