Boone, NC: the Heart of the High Country
I am in love with Boone, NC. A resident of the area for the past 35 years, I have been a student at Appalachian State University, a mother to two children, a fan of mountain heritage and a P.R. and visitor information specialist for the local tourism industry since 2001.
Through social media, I enjoy engaging with fans and followers of the Boone area who want to learn more about the High Country. I particularly enjoy studying ways to constantly refine our methods of serving both the visitors' and residents' needs.
History and Southern Appalachian culture have always interested me, so volunteering as a docent at Hickory Ridge Living History Museum is a lot of fun. I am lucky to be able to spend quality time keeping a husband and two cats happy.
