With over sixteen years experience providing expertise in the areas of marketing, business strategic planning, information technology, educational resource development, art administration and special event fundraising Michelle Bishop has been fortunate in her career to have diverse work experiences in both corporate and not-for-profit environments.

Transferable skills which garner Michelle the opportunities to work with some of New York’s premier companies and non-for-profit organizations, she provides system services and solutions to optimize developmental, creative and operational methods for small to mid-size companies, individual consultants and families. Contributing to and building company’s long-term growth and profitability, Michelle worked with social service federation Associated Black Charities and fundraising special event firm Event Associates before kick starting her career as an independent consultant and executive director of Harlem Needle Arts.

Additional expertise: Develop brand recognition for one of New York City's premier fiber arts organizations Harlem Needle Arts, Inc. Work with artists, museums and galleries to launch and curate exhibitions, lecture series and collaborative opportunities with Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Museum of the City of New York, and New York State Museum in Albany. Coordinate art acquisitions with Colgate-Palmolive Company, Brooklyn Museum and The City College of New York along with a host of private collectors.

Provide technical support to artists as well as further needle art construction through group instruction for individuals, academic programs and public schools.
