Michelle Boback

Michelle Boback is an award winning actress (The Day Before Yesterday), and two time ACTRA award nominee (TDBY - best actress (2010), Deus EX - best performance in a Video Game (2012).
Michelle studied Digital Film and Visual FX in Vancouver, graduating top of her class with a Masters Diploma in VFX (2002). After graduation, Michelle secured a place with Northwest Imaging and FX, Michelle did wire removal for Andromeda (which she also appeared in as an actress) and VFX breakdowns for such scripts as, Battlestar Gallatica and Garfield 3. After a proposal from Insight Film, Michelle moved across the street and Office Managed Insight Film for a year, then moved to VFX breakdowns and freelance film coordination, working with such directors as Stuart Townsend, and Nick Castles.

While working in film, Michelle made her way to School Creative Actors Studio and took on the role of actress. As a young adult Michelle studied Shakespeare with The Young Actors Studio, so, the transition back to the front of the camera was familiar. Michelle also became a sought after acting coach, teaching such starts as Avan Jogia.

In 2008 Michelle moved to Montreal, where her voice career bloomed, and she took on national and international campaigns including, Nike, McDonalds, Iogo, L'Oreal, Red Bull and many more. Theatre called her once again, and Michelle found herself on the cover of the Montreal Mirror and performing at The Centaur Theatre. As a singer/songwriter she was listed in the Montreal Mirror as number 8 in the Montreal top 10 singer songwriters, right under Leonard Cohen; an honour to be sure. Michelle was also credited in the top 5 actresses in montreal for 4 consecutive years, until she moved to Toronto to have some babies.

Two children later, Michelle has refocused on the next chapter of her career. A visually driven artist, Michelle has used different art mediums (paint, photography, compositing, storyboarding) to create a children's book, and a short farce about Three Swedish Porn stars on the verge of retirement. Continuing her voice career, coaching actors and teaching yoga for actors, has kept Michelle busy, while working on a series concept
