Michelle Leonardo

I am a third year student at Suffolk University, working towards a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. I see myself being a sideline reporter for ESPN and writing for Cosmopolitan.

In March, 2011, I was selected as a college reporter by Style It Up, a Boston based television show showcasing upcoming and popular designers in the Boston area. After excelling in my position as an intern, I was promoted to a reporter in August, 2011. Most recently, I covered Boston Fashion Week in September, 2011, reporting and writing reviews on both Daniel Faucher Couture and Lily and Migs.

I am the reigning Miss New Jersey USA 2012, the most coveted pageant title in the state of New Jersey. I was successful at capturing this title as well as Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2008 on my first try, something that has never happened in the state of New Jersey. I work along side USO, Susan G. Koman, American Heart Association, and numerous other organizations promoting awareness. The best part of my reign is when I have the opportunity to speak to large groups of students and my peers about accomplishing your goals and getting what you want. In 2008, I received a Proclamation from the Mayor of Tinton Falls for being a positive role model for the youth in my community.

Because of my passion for pageantry and teaching, I founded Leonardo Pageant Consulting, a full service pageantry preparation company. I have coached Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2009, 2010 as well as Miss Teen New Jersey International. I prepare my clients for interviews, on stage questions, stage presentation, as well as helping them with their self-esteem and image.

I am extremely passionate, driven and confident. I thrive off of pressure and love a good challenge. I live by the quote "Your dreams will carry you, but you have to be willing to fly first."
