Hi, my name is Michelle Nguyen and I am transitioning into a career in design after graduating with a BA degree in Japanese. I chose to change my career prospect from becoming a translator to becoming a designer after I took a few design classes at community college and realized how much I enjoyed being able to bring out my creativity and come up with visual solutions to problems.
With my background, I bring valuable skills such as cross-cultural communication and navigating and understanding different perspectives. I enjoy clean, simple, and functional design and am inspired by Japanese design aesthetics.
When I'm not designing you can find me keeping up with my language studies, drinking tea, annoying my pet bunnies, or watching an episode of a Korean drama.
