Michelle Proctor

Before starting her own business, Michelle was the Small Business Program Director for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. In that role, she implemented innovative business development programs like Tennessee Business Matchmaking; created the state’s first micro-enterprise loan fund for rural businesses; and championed entrepreneurship through statewide advocacy campaigns like Global Entrepreneurship Week-Tennessee. She has been a guest speaker on ESBD issues at various economic development training events, including the IEDC – Tennessee Basic Economic Development Course, Tennessee Association for Community Leadership (TACL), congressional conferences, chamber of commerce luncheons, development district meetings and small business conferences.
