Michelle Rana
Student in Gauteng , Soweto
I’m Michelle, a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in English and History for the Senior Phase and FET. For me, teaching isn’t just about transferring knowledge it’s about sparking curiosity and helping young people find their voice.
What drives me is the belief that every classroom should be a safe space to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I’m particularly interested in using storytelling and digital tools to make history feel alive and relevant. When I’m not buried in a textbook, you’ll find me tutoring Grade 10 learners in Soweto on weekends, experimenting with free educational apps, or sketching storyboards , a hobby that taught me how to explain complex ideas visually.
I’m building my professional presence to connect with fellow educators, discover classroom ready resources, and prepare for a teaching career that’s rooted in empathy and high expectations. If you’re passionate about inclusive education, children’s literature, or just want to swap great lesson ideas, I’d love to connect.
