Dedicating much of her professional practice and private time to environmentally sustainable practices and historic preservation, architect Michelle Robinson is Founding Principal of Michelle Robinson Architects (MRA), a full-service architectural firm located in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania. Offering consultancy and project management services for clients private and public, large and small, Michelle Robinson Architects specializes in retail and transportation facility design. Assisting clients well beyond Mount Gretna and the Mid-Atlantic region, Michelle Robinson and her team of professionals prides itself on reliability, effective communication, and integrity. Michelle Robinson earned this reputation in a variety of contexts, including as the Manager of Station Planning and Design for Amtrak. Much of her firm’s practice has been on airport structure, including base-building construction projects, developing design standards, space planning, tenant fit-outs, and attaining maximum efficiency in airline infrastructure. This work includes her assistance in designing gates and ticketing areas for US Airways, as part of the company’s expansion to three new locations, and serving as project manager of terminal and retail expansions at the Philadelphia International Airport. For clients in the Mid-Atlantic area, Michelle Robinson has drawn up pedestrian and bicycle master plans, provided expert advice regarding the revitalization of New York City’s Moynihan Station, and managed the preservation of historic train stations and lighthouses for the Delaware Department of Transportation. Michelle Robinson brings to her firm an understanding of the many considerations surrounding various projects, having conducted community design workshops and organized local stakeholders to generate support for various projects. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Michelle Robinson has been a registered Architect since 1998 and earned membership in The American Institute of Architects. She has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in Pennsylvania and in 16 other states. An active member of Philadelphia’s UC Green project, Michelle Robinson also co-chairs the Community Design Collaborative’s Project Committee and serves as an Environmental Leadership Program Fellow. In her free time, Michelle Robinson enjoys restoring historic homes, especially those in the neighborhoods surrounding Moun
