Michelle Shahbazi’s education spans institutions in the United States and Italy. After studying fashion design at the Accademia Italiana in Florence, Italy, she enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University to pursue an undergraduate degree. Following graduation with a bachelor of arts in 2007, Michelle Shahbazi returned to Florence to continue her education. After completion of her course work, she returned to the United States, eventually settling outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She currently teaches piano and ballet, and is an active member of the Pittsburgh fashion design community.
Michelle Shahbazi’s approach as a piano instructor focuses on helping the student develop a firm grasp of theory, music notation, and rhythm. She also instructs students on proper posture, hand position, and playing technique. In her work as a ballet instructor, she primarily teaches beginner and intermediate dancers from 3 to 10 years old.
Beyond her professional life, Michelle Shahbazi contributes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Salvation Army. Her favorite pastimes include photography and playing music.
