Michelle Sorrells

Throughout the school year, I am a full-time classroom teacher with more than a decade of experience in both public and private school settings. Collaborating with colleagues locally, nationally, and internationally who have found themselves Up A Creek In the Classroom is my passion. I provide a paddle with which they can keep moving forward.

As an independent educational consultant, I provide training nation-wide to classroom educators in the area of classroom management and building a classroom community that seizes the opportunity to use each instructional moment to increase student achievement. I am also an independent Professional Development Specialist for the CDA Council observing CDA Candidates, evaluating professional work samples, and providing feedback and guidance for developing professional growth plans for Early Childhood teachers and assistants. In the past, I have provided training for Early Childhood professionals in health and safety, appropriate transitions, planning,and incorporating literacy, math, and science in classrooms that serve children ages 0-5.
