Michelle Streeter is not an Arizona native but certainly considers herself one. Mesa, Arizona is her home and the city has long provided her a gateway to adventure and exploration of every sort. Michelle began her tourism industry career as a member of the public relations team at Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and served as their Director of Public Relations. Michelle was able to travel across the U.S. and Canada in this position and executed a variety of destination promotions from working alongside Iron Chef Bobby Flay to hosting exclusive events at the James Beard House, Gourmet Magazine Test Kitchen and even courting film crews from CNN, CBS Morning News, LIve! and the Today Show. Michelle brought her Tourism/PR career closer to home and accepted the position of Director of Communications at Visit Mesa and is currently the Vice President of Communications and Partnership. Just after arriving in Mesa, The Arizona Republic touted Michelle as Mesa's newest cheerleader. Michelle has worked tirelessly to promote the city she loves and resides in, and strives hard to secure national headlines promoting Mesa and its many attributes for visitors. Her career highlights include securing full-length feature stories in Los Angeles Times, CNN.com, Chicago Tribune, New York Times and other notable national media outlets. Managing two departments, Michelle has helped develop and strengthen Mesa's in-demand tourism products including the creation of the Fresh Foodie Trail in Mesa and our surrounding region; and helped produce the six-part feature television series, Discover Mesa. The program earned a prestigious Telly Award. She is a recent graduate of the Penn State Executive Program completing a course in Digital Marketing for Hospitality Executives. Her responsibilities have branched into Marketing, Advertising and Social Media Management, and she continues to guide and craft top message points and brand positions for national and international placements. Sports fans take note, Michelle was Editor-in-Chief and main copy writer for the Chicago Cubs Spring Training guides connecting her with MLB Press Box and working annually with top sports writers (2008-2014). From directing photo shoots and publishing countless guides, Michelle has her hands in everything tourism and her momentum and drive to celebrate the travel industry continues to this day.
