Mick Norman
Mick is passionate about learning technologies, the web and pretty much any gadget he can get his hands on. A graduate of Kent Law School, Mick returned to work within his old department in September 2007 where he actively developed the role of E-learning Support, working closely with students, staff, members of the Faculty Learning Technologist (FLT) team and Information Services to maintain and develop the department’s use of learning technologies. In December 2009, Mick joined the FLT team and is pleased to help support learning technologies University wide. Mick’s professional interests include the use of Web 2.0 technologies and social media in an education environment, electronic collaboration as a teaching tool and cloud-based services. Outside of work, Mick is a violinist for the University Symphony Orchestra and plays electric violin for Canterbury-based band Belleville. He is also a member of the City Church Canterbury and enjoys photography, watching rugby and having a fine ale in a traditional pub.
