Barnard Castle, Co.Durham

I have worked around the world as a journalist for the past 35 years, and along the way have also branched out into marketing and public relations. This has been both via advertising and public relations agencies and directly to a variety of clients. Work I have undertaken includes speech writing for high level executives, both inhouse and customer newsletters, fliers, leaflets and brochures, annual reports, press releases and presentations. Much of this was during my 12 years based in Hong Kong when I owned a small desktop publishing company and produced magazines and directories for the British and Australian Chambers of Commerce and the RSPCA. The PR work i undertook was for Chamber members including Shell, Glaxo, Barclays Bank, GEC, Jardine Matheson and many smaller companies. When my wife became ill in 2001 we returned to the UK and following her death from cancer in September 2002 I have been freelancing from home and raising my daughter who is now at university.
