Microwave Oven-Food

You know, although I inherit the surname of 'Oven'. I am not like other standard ovens. I am much different.

So what do you do when you're hungry? Do you cook a meal from scratch using a normal oven, which is just slow as it takes ages for the heat to get into the food. No you don't you take something out the freezer / fridge, prick the cover and shove it in me for 3-5 minutes. There you go, have this delicious curry, ready, just like that.

Some say I am a magician, if that were true I wouldn't be about to tell you how I work.

I rely on the stuff which makes up 70% of you, water. I also rely on Microwaves, which have the second longest wavelength in the Electromagenetic Spectrum. So I do stuff with long words. But what does that mean?

Well I usually operate on the wave frequency of 2.45GHz. Now these waves which I use have a very cool property , they are absorbed by water, fats and sugars, when these waves of absorbed it is directly converted into atomic motion, A.K.A heat. That is what makes your food hot.

Another cool property of these waves is that they are not absorbed a high majority of plastics, glass or ceramics. This means electricity isn't wasted on heating unwanted materials. Metal also reflects microwaves which is why the sides of the microwave is lined with it.

Also when I cook, thanks to my waves I heat up the whole food, more or less, at an equal amount. Though that does mean you can't get a crust, but who wants them anyway?

So, the secret's out, and that is me.
