Midwest Moderate

Politics matter. The Midwest Moderate represents a practical Midwest sensibility and a moderate viewpoint. One that tends to gravitate to the center left. Their is a difference in the way party activists tend to see issues and the way elected official (at least those who are not ideological) see things. The pragmatic office holder tends to seek ways to find mutual self interest between parties to form a compromise. The ideological left and right tend to stake out extreme positions in the hope that reality will come out somewhat closer to their perspectives, if they are willing to compromise at all.
