International relations and multilevel politics is my area of expertise. I specialized in development and the position of civil society organizations on a global level. My interests are vast!

It amazes me how much power people hold when they work together. This phenomenon excites me, whether it takes place nationally and the result is overthrowing a dictator through non violent action or civil society organizations taking a stand on the global level and actually achieving their goals independently. Power structures on every political playing field is something I researched and am still very interested in.

I get excited by small things like reading my sisters a bedtime story, showing someone a trick to understand a difficult subject in school, cooking something new for my friends or singing along with my favorite song.

Since my graduation I have travelled to the US, did several internships and most recently spent three months in Tanzania. There, I had the pleasure of working for Twaweza. This organization inspired me even more than I already was. They believe that real change comes from the people and they try to give them the tools and the information to come up with solutions and stand up for themselves.

I have experience in journalism, writing for Vice Versa. This is a Dutch magazine on development cooperation. I am eager to get started on my next challenge!
