Mika Shen

My name is Mika Shen, I living in Taichung, Taiwan. I am currently attending night school at Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology and work as a warehouse assistant at Feng Meng cable television company. Being both a student and a warehouse assistant at cable television company has allowed me to become an efficient multi-tasker, reliable, responsible, and have great interpersonal skills. Though sometimes I lack a bit of confidence and may be considered introverted, my determination to succeed and get the job done well tends to supersedes my reticent nature.

Since entering the workforce and university I have gained a lot of knowledge and technical skill. I can still remember when I was in my first year of university, I was young and took a lot of things for granted. It wasn’t until I was in my final year that I realized I was about to enter and remain in the workforce. I often wondered what I would end up doing with my life and what kind of person I would become after graduation. Often times, I took on the role as a leader even if I don’t know what I’m doing. I try to overcompensate and learn more so I could help my classmates and they would help me as well in return. It is through this back and forth along with the assistance of my mentors, that I discovered my life’s purpose: to always look forward, work hard, and achieve the goals I set out for myself.

I was working for cable television company for 3 years, and my current position is a warehouse assistant. During this period of the company, I learned a lot of knowledge and skills. Being a warehouse assistant has allowed me to understand and operation of the company. Very helpful to my work experience and ability. I have learned to become a proactive problem solver and work autonomously and successfully. With over 3 years under my belt, I am very understanding of the future trends and importance of cable television now.
